Robert "Bob" Murphy, Senior Vice President, Change Management

Bob Murphy is senior vice president, Change Management at Rockwell Automation. In his role, Bob leads our enterprise efforts to evolve our business and people in sync with our customers to enable them to be more productive and drive continued growth. Most recently, Bob served as senior vice president, Connected Enterprise Consulting. In this role Bob led Rockwell Automation’s enterprise efforts to partner with customers at the executive level to consult and guide them in their aspirations to become a Connected Enterprise.

Bob has been with Rockwell Automation for over 40 years. He began his career with what was then the Allen-Bradley Company in 1979 as a senior production technician in Highland Heights, Ohio. His career progressed through a variety of multiple businesses and functions across OES, Control Products & Solutions and Architecture & Software. These areas include: test engineering, manufacturing engineering, product industrialization and new product development. He became director of operations for our Dublin, Georgia, manufacturing facility in 1998. In 2004, Bob took an expanded operations director role supporting our Standard Drives business unit.

In 2006, Bob was appointed director, Manufacturing Strategy & Planning for the OES organization. In that role, Bob and his team were responsible for the design and implementation of our global manufacturing footprint strategy. He also was responsible for the Global Workplace Services group - which conducted our global real estate, facilities management, flight operations and general operations service functions. Bob then served as vice president, Manufacturing Operations, with responsibility for our manufacturing facilities in Ladysmith, Mequon and Middleton, Wisconsin; Monterrey, Mexico; Twinsburg, Ohio and the Dominican Republic. Previously, he was also senior vice president, OES.

Bob holds an associate of science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Stark State College in North Canton, Ohio.
